Description We are offering a role for a Credit / Collections Specialist in San Antonio, Texas. The role focuses on managing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer records in the financial industry. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee cash applications, collections, and accounts receivable operations. • Establish daily communication routines and reporting structures. • Develop and review monthly cash forecasts. • Identify problem accounts and develop strategies for resolution. • Approve quotes and sales orders as necessary. • Initiate credit memos, refunds, and adjustments to maintain the integrity of accounts receivable aging. • Provide invoices to customers upon request. • Utilize credit analysis methods and maintain knowledge of accounts receivable reconciliation. • Implement collections methods in order to achieve company cash and DSO goals. • Assist the customer service department in resolving customer issues related to credit and collections.
Requirements • Must possess at least 3 years of experience as a Credit / Collections Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficiency in Credit - Collections and Credit - Commercial is required. • Mastery of Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Applications, Aging Accounts, and Aging Reports is essential. • Strong skills in Credit Analysis and Account Reconciliation are necessary. • Experience in Collections - Commercial, Collections, Commercial Collections, and B2B collections is desired. • Knowledge of assessing Credit Worthiness and familiarity with Dun & Bradstreet is a plus. • Proficiency in Oracle software is required. • Fluency in Spanish Language is beneficial. • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional relationships with clients and work effectively in a team. • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. • Must have a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. • Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
