Sr. Accountant (Remote Position)

Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in San Francisco, California. The role involves managing a variety of accounting duties such as handling AP invoices, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and payroll. The Sr. Accountant will also be responsible for managing fixed and intangible assets, lease obligations, and customer and vendor facing duties. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

• Handle weekly AP invoices

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including accrued expense postings for the month

• Manage lease obligations and fixed and intangible assets

• Address AR inquiries and assist with AR side operations

• Interact with customers and vendors as needed

• Process semi-monthly payroll for employees across the US

• Utilize various skills including Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Company Revenue Recognition, and semi-Monthly Payrolls.


Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar senior accounting role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is essential

• Demonstrable experience with general ledger and journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close processes

• Knowledge of NetSuite software is highly desirable

• Understanding of company revenue recognition

• Experience in managing semi-monthly payrolls

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Legal right to work in the United States.
