Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our SAAS client in Northern California. The role involves managing a variety of accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis, and requires proficiency in using software such as NetSuite and Excel. This is fully remote position that can start immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records

• Prepare and review payroll journal entries, deductions, and payroll tax

• Perform flux analysis for Profit & Loss and balance sheet

• Accurately record accrual entries in the general ledger

• Manage responsibilities related to fixed assets, maintaining records of low volume activity

• Reconcile accrual liability and run flux analysis to identify discrepancies

• Conduct accounts receivable (AR) analysis, including AR reserves and write off calculations

• Use expertise in the CECL standard to ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Account for prepaid commission expenses and perform account reconciliations for 30 accounts monthly

• Handle month-end tasks to ensure timely closing of accounts.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Solid understanding of General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite software is highly desirable.

• Ability to perform Flux Analysis.

• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant role within the IT Software industry.

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various internal teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
