Property Assistant

Description

We are seeking a proactive Property Assistant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting regular property inspections, managing maintenance requests, and assisting in property operations. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure they are well-maintained, safe, and adequately stocked with necessary supplies and furnishings.
• Prepare and present detailed inspection reports.
• Manage and track all maintenance requests, ensuring a detail oriented and timely response.
• Communicate regularly with office staff regarding the status of maintenance requests and property conditions.
• Schedule repair technicians for necessary property repairs based on inspection findings.
• Assist in maintaining detailed records of property improvements, preventative maintenance, equipment, and supply purchases.
• Prepare, post, and manage property notices as needed.
• Ensure all work areas are maintained as clean, safe environments.
• Manage inventory of property furnishings and supplies, ensuring adequate stock.
• Assist with the process of resident check-ins and check-outs.
• Provide residents with information on how to submit maintenance requests and assist with lock-out situations.
• Contribute to company-wide efforts to eliminate waste and inefficiency.
• Handle emergency maintenance calls and assist residents with maintenance emergencies when necessary.
• Ensure common areas such as hallways and meeting rooms are kept clean and orderly.
• Schedule cleaning services as needed.
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as watering, trimming, mulching, and weeding to maintain the exterior aesthetics of the property.


Requirements

• Proficient in Property Management and related operations
• Familiarity with Maintenance Contracts and processing Work Orders
• Comprehensive understanding of Property and Residents management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience in issuing and managing Notices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on serving residents.
