We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in the retail clothing and accessories industry, based in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. This role encompasses managing the payroll for a significant number of employees, including seasonal workers. You will also be responsible for implementing new hires into our payroll system. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage the payroll for a significant influx of seasonal workers during peak periods
• Utilize UltiPro/UKG software to manage payroll
• Implement new hires into our payroll system in an efficient manner
• Handle multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with all state regulations
• Utilize various accounting software systems, including ADP, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System
• Carry out 401k - RRSP Administration tasks
• Perform a variety of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial data privacy standards.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist within the retail industry, preferably in the clothing and accessories sector.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
• Must have prior experience with Ceridian.
• Knowledge of IBM AS/400 is necessary.
• Familiarity with Kronos Timekeeping System is a must.
• Experience with 401k - RRSP Administration is required.
• About Time software experience is highly desirable.
• Should have a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
• Must have experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Should have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
